Special
Elvis Presley the King of Rock and Roll performing several songs in Vegas Live.
Special Thanks to Chrisgoulis for the Video
Songs: 1. Hound Dog 2. Blue Suede Shoes 3. In the Ghetto 4. The Wonder of You
Hound Dog Lyrics: You aint nothin but a hound dog Cryin all the time. You aint nothin but a hound dog Cryin all the time. Well, you aint never caught a rabbit And you aint no friend of mine.
When they said you was high classed, Well, that was just a lie. When they said you was high classed, Well, that was just a lie. You aint never caught a rabbit And you aint no friend of mine.
Blue Suede Shoes Lyrics: Well, its one for the money, Two for the show, Three to get ready, Now go, cat, go.
But dont you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.
Well, you can knock me down, Step in my face, Slander my name All over the place.
Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh, Honey, lay off of my shoes Dont you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.
You can burn my house, Steal my car, Drink my liquor From an old fruitjar.
Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh, Honey, lay off of my shoes Dont you step on my blue suede shoes. You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.
In The Ghetto Lyrics: As the snow flies On a cold and gray chicago mornin A poor little baby child is born In the ghetto And his mama cries cause if theres one thing that she dont need Its another hungry mouth to feed In the ghetto
People, dont you understand The child needs a helping hand Or hell grow to be an angry young man some day Take a look at you and me, Are we too blind to see, Do we simply turn our heads And look the other way
Well the world turns And a hungry little boy with a runny nose Plays in the street as the cold wind blows In the ghetto
And his hunger burns So he starts to roam the streets at night And he learns how to steal And he learns how to fight In the ghetto
Then one night in desperation A young man breaks away He buys a gun, steals a car, Tries to run, but he dont get far And his mama cries
As a crowd gathers round an angry young man Face down on the street with a gun in his hand In the ghetto
As her young man dies, On a cold and gray chicago mornin, Another little baby child is born In the ghetto
The Wonder of You Lyrics: When no-one else can understand me When everything I do is wrong You give me hope and consolation You give me strength to carry on
And you're always there to lend a hand In everything I do That's the wonder The wonder of you
And when you smile the world is brighter You touch my hand and I'm a king Your kiss to me is worth a fortune Your love for me is everything
I'll guess I'll never know the reason why You love me like you do That's the wonder The wonder of you

Oh Lord my God when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed When Christ shall come With shout of acclamation And take me home What joy shall fill my heart Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim my God How great thou art Then sings my soul my savior God to thee How great thou art How great thou art Then sings my soul my savior God to thee How great thou art How great thou art

Elvis Presley Love Me Tender
Written by Ken Darby, but Elvis and Vera Matson, Darby's wif
Elvis Presley Love Me Tender Written by Ken Darby, but Elvis and Vera Matson, Darby's wife, was credited. It is based on the 1861 ballad "Aura Lee", written by W. W. Fosdick and George R. Poulton, which was a favorite of the Union Army during the Civil War. Elvis recorded it either August 2 or September 24, 1956 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. It entered Billboard's Top 100 Chart at #12; over the next nine weeks it was #1 for 4 weeks; it was #3 on the Country Best Seller chart and #4 on the rhythm & blues chart. Advanced sales of the single exceed 1,000,000 copies, the first record in history to do so. Elvis sang it on all three Ed Sullivan appearances and on his last appearance at Louisiana Hayride on Dec. 16, 1956. It was the A-side to Anyway You Want Me. It is on the Elvis LP and it was the title song for the movie Love Me Tender.
Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I love you so.
Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
Love me tender, love me long, take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong, and will never part.
Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
Love me tender, love me dear, tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, till the end of time. Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
(When at last my dreams come true Darling this I know Happiness will follow you Everywhere you go).
