Lehrer only did twelve songs. They are all here. This channel is focused on live video images of Lehrer, NOT still images or animations with Lehrer's music taken from a record. Unfortunately very little live (video) material exists. He didn't appear that much on TV, and some broadcasters even erased their recordings because of the expensive video tapes in the sixties. But maybe we will see more later? Until more genuine Lehrer videos appears: Consider this collection a rare treat. Because it really is. And, yes, you can watch this channel with Tom Lehrer's approval. If you enjoy the content you should buy his records. This weird planet (still) needs Tom Lehrer. |

I grew up listening to Tom, My mother saw him countless times back in the Boston area back in the early 50s.. have pretty much every recording he ever put out..

Yeah, this guy's an absolute genius. I've loved him for years. But the one thing that I think most people forget is that he is also a master of his instrument. He played piano like it was a part of him. He made it sound so effortless, but his playing was truly complex.
Couple the happy-go-lucky piano part with the satirical image of an atom bomb capping your sorry a**, and you have a master at work! Thanks for these vids. Classic!!! |
