Dr. Shawn Ward - Foot and Ankle Surgery

Dr. Shawn Ward is a highly skilled Foot and Ankle Surgeon serving the Lima community since 1999, trained at the Dayton VA Medical Center, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and the VA Clinic in Columbus, Ohio. 

With expertise in wound care, limb preservation surgery, and peripheral nerve surgery, Dr. Ward can tackle even the most complex cases. His dedication to patient care and education are further exemplified by his numerous leadership roles, including running his private practice for over 26 years. As the Director of the Foot and Ankle Residency Program, Dr. Ward is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of foot and ankle surgeons.

Dr. Ward completed fellowship training in Microsurgery and Deformity Correction and recently published in Peripheral Nerve Surgery and Orthoplastic and Nerve techniques on Orthomyoplastic Trans-Tibial amputation. He regularly applies cutting-edge techniques to correct severe deformities and restore function to the foot, ankle and leg.
