Estuary Magazine

The Old Lyme Conservation Commission, The Watershed Fund and estuary magazine host the CT River Watershed Seminar Series.  
These seminars are for anyone interested in the environment, focusing on the past, present, and future of the Connecticut River watershed from the northern reaches of New Hampshire and Vermont, flowing 410 miles south to Old Saybrook and Long Island Sound and the issues the watershed faces.
The seminars are given by experts in their fields, providing in-depth, accessible, and timely explorations of the river’s history, terrestrial habitats, aquatic habitats, invasive plants, geology, and restoration efforts.
Four seminars are planned for 2026, starting in January with water quality; in April, bird habitats; in July, building resilient habitats; and in October,  aquatic or fish habitats.
