Protoon Music

Welcome to the YouTube channel of Protoon Music/Maurits Boreel – violinist and developer & builder of music technology.

This channel features live looping performances created using a self programmed looper using Max4live “Protoon Looper”.
All sounds are performed and layered live, with no pre-recorded material.

The setup includes a self-built “Protoon MIDI violin” , “Protoon MIDI Footpedal”, “Protoon Sensor Bow” and tools developed specifically for real-time expression.

The focus is on exploring the intersection of acoustic performance and music technology, with an emphasis on live, hands-on creation. To learn more about the technology behind these performances, go to www.protoon.nl

Thank you for listening, and feel free to subscribe for more videos featuring new music technology, creative looping, electronic improvised music and musical experiments.
