The Douglass Theatre

A venue of Black Pride, a cultural asset of its community, the Douglass Theatre  is a premier film and live performance theatre that is open to all citizens of the community. The theatre opened in 1921 and was started by Charles H. Douglass, Macon, GA's first Black Millionaire; and is a venue that represents how history reflects and impacts communities and people in a positive way, by serving as a safe and comfortable space for artists to thrive.
