Welcome to Elk River Books, carefully curated used books in Livingston, Montana. We offer high quality books, rare ephemera, journals, maps, note cards (many by local artists) and other literary gifts. The store specializes in works by Montana authors, signed and collectible books, nature and outdoor recreation, visual and literary arts, and western history.

Elk River Arts & Lectures is our nonprofit sister organization dedicated to cultivating and celebrating the literary arts in Park County, Montana. We host frequent events including readings, signings, lectures, music and other performance arts. Past authors include Peter Matthiessen, Jim Harrison, Terry Tempest Williams, Carl Hiaasen, Pam Houston, Rick Bass, Tim Egan, Doug Peacock, Craig Johnson, Richard Powers, Joy Williams and many others, A sampling of these events are posted on this YouTube page.
