I stayed in alberta for a week for work , calgary , edmonton and fort mcmurray .
Alberta is not an attractive place , but there is a lot of work there. In a depressed economy in canada and america , alberta is a draw for those seeking work. |

The Alberta government is the most secretive and undemocratic government in North America. We have a freedom of information act here but unless you are very rich and are willing to wait a year to get documents that are heavily redacted, don't bother. That's right, in Alberta you have to pay thousands of dollars to get information that in every other jurisdiction is free to the public. The only people in Alberta who have real freedom of information are Conservative part insiders and oil executives.
BTW, our Minister of the Environment, is really the junior minister of tar sands oil. |

A baby seal walks into a club. USA! USA! I offer you a ultimatum, Canada signs over it's independence and becomes our 51st state. In return we make your lives better! Guns! Blode hair! Cheeseburgers!

How do you persuade a polluting, dirty company that it's time to move out of the neighbourhood? You get everyone to help, from the community to every level of government. That's the challenge in Kilburn, South Australia.
