Why is this called Hot Buttered IT? The idea is to serve up hot fresh tips better than mom's and tempting enough to get you out of bed!

Believe or not, any of the Dummies books are always a good place to start for beginners. In fact, there is VOIP for Dummies, Asterisk for Dummies, and Linux for Dummies. When I first got into telecommunications, I started with VOIP for Dummies. I have also read part of Asterisk: The Future of Telephony , but the last publish date was 2005.
