Max Trescott is the 2008 National Certificated Flight Instructor of the Year. He is a glass cockpit guru and a champion of glass cockpits and their potential for increasing flight safety. He's author of the popular "Max Trescott's G1000 Glass Cockpit Handbook." He's earned Psychology and Electrical Engineering degrees from Swarthmore College, an MBA from NYU and worked 25 years for HP.

He's an ATP pilot, FAA Gold Seal CFI, and recognized by NAFI, the National Association of Flight Instructors, as a Master CFI. He's received factory CFI training at Cessna, Cirrus, and Columbia and is a Cessna factory FITS instructor, Cirrus CSIP and Columbia 350 and 400 instructor. Living in the San Francisco Bay area and giving advanced avionics and glass cockpit training, he also operates the www.pilotlearning.com website for the online delivery of aviation training courses including the Garmin G1000 and WAAS.
