Some songs let us drift back in time with them and we can see faces as we saw them when we were young.
Allthough i listen to and enjoy a wide spectrum of music this channel is dedicated
to one of my all time favourite groups
The Seekers.
The four Australians,Athol Guy,Bruce Woodley
Keith Potger and the girl with such a beautiful voice,Judith Durham, came to Europe
in 1964 and sang themselves into our hearts.
I always had a dream to see them perform
live but i was never given the opportunity of such a gift and now time has run out.
What Bruce Woodley said when they broke up in
1968 can also be used now their reunion years are over:"I hope these songs will remain for you to remember us fondly. It's been a pleasure to sing for you."
Yes,we will remember them fondly and maybe the videos here can help to keep their
songs and music alive.
In their reunion years from 1993-2004
there are two men we should be ever so
grateful for.Their work to get The Seekers
recordings released on CD and DVD is
outstanding.
Their names are Graham Simpson and John
Kovac.Sadly John Kovac passed away far too young in 2005.
Thanks also to Tom Springfield and Bruce Woodley for composing so many of their finest songs.
DVD's i recommend with The Seekers
and places you can buy their DVD
and CD's from.
