Re: Re: Richard Dawkins Can't Answer
Your partially correct here. They cannot date the fossil or the sedimentary deposits, unless those deposits contain volcanic intrusions or are associate with strata of a known and dated age. Fossils of certain types can be used to give an approximate age only because other dating techniques and data have shown that these specific fossils only associate with a certain age of sediment. So find a modern salmon with (same sediment) tiktaalik and you've falsified evolution. (1 hour ago)

Secondly, it is the unique conditions of the sight in which those fossils were found that aided in the preservation of those proteins. None of this would have ever conflicted with the Theory of Evolution in any way. You want something that would falsify evolution? Find a fossil of a an animal that can be dated to precede its ancestral species group. Like, say, primates in the Triassic. Or an atavism that produced feathers on a mammal, or mammary glands on a bird. That would falsify Evolution. (1 day ago)

First of all, finding remnant tissue (specifically in this case one of the toughest protiens, collagen fragments) was considered highly unlikely, not necessarily impossible. And the discovery actually lent support to the Theory of Evolution because the specific make up of those proteins show a strong similarity to the same proteins in modern birds. Exactly what Evolution predicted should be the case since birds are derived from therapod dinosaurs. (1 day ago)

"Evolutionist" don't exist. Evolutionary scientists deal with the data that they uncover and to date, all that data supports the Theory of Evolution. The Spokane Flood and the Bad Lands was a great debate in science. And like all science, until verified through a preponderance of the evidence a hypothesis is not a Theory. Harlen Bretz and his colleges did real science, collected real data and built that hypothesis in t a well verified Theory. Evolution has the same history. Po halos do not. (1 day ago)

He very well may have. And it falls well within many creationist behaviors, to make false claims about things. Creationist are guilty of lying, quote mining, misrepresentations, straw men and far more (here I'm specifically referring to creationist popularizers such as Gish, Cameron, Hovind and others, not lay creationists who don't know any better). All of that is irrelevant in regards to the shoddy science he did, and why he did it so poorly. (1 day ago)

thanks for subscribing. oh, and have you ever heard of an author by the name of bently little? he's a horrornovelist, and his books are rather interesting; at least, in my opinion.
