Name: Pancreatic Cancer
Our Mission:
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

How We Accomplish Our Mission:
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national leader in the fight to defeat pancreatic cancer. We are the only national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way. We accomplish our mission by directly funding research, and demanding that the federal government increase research dollars for pancreatic cancer; by providing patients and caregivers with reliable information to make informed decisions with their healthcare teams; and by helping individuals and communities work together to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Hardin B. Jones, emeritus professor of medical physics and physiology at Berkley testified that, during his decades-long research on cancer, people who were diagnosed with cancer and refused therapy lived an average of 12 1/2 years after diagnosis. Those who received one or more medical therapies -- surgery, radiation, chemotherapy -- lived an average of only 3 years. According to Dr. Jone's objective research, medical doctors misinform every patient they tell that surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy will extent his/her life. Actually they shorten life by 76%.
