Full 8-part oral history interview with writer Earl Hamner. He talks briefly about his earliest writing credits, for shows such as Today, Wide, Wide World, and The United States Steel Hour. Next, he speaks about writing for the anthology series The Twilight Zone, and discussed each of the episodes he wrote. He recalled the controversy surrounding the television movie Heidi, which he wrote, when it interrupted an important football broadcast. He discusses in detail his experiences as the creator of the drama series The Waltons, and talks about the creation of the program, the cast, and the show's parallels with his own childhood. He also talks about some his later series, including Apple's Way, The Young Pioneers, Falcon Crest, Brewster Place, and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. Conducted September 18, 2003 by Jennifer Howard.
Full 7-part oral history interview with actress Elinor Donahue. She outlines her early films -- "Mister Big" and "The Unfinished Dance". She describes appearing in early experimental TV for Klaus Landsberg and speaks of her appearance on "The Ray Bolger Show". She talks in detail about her role as Betty 'Princess' Anderson" on the classic '50s sitcom "Father Knows Best". She recalls working with producer Eugene Rodney and her fictional father Robert Young, "mother" Jane Wyatt and "siblings" Billy Gray and Lauren Chapin. Donahue then speaks about her role as "Ellie May Walker" on "The Andy Griffith Show". She talks about two other recurring parts, "Miriam Welby" on "The Odd Couple" and "Rebecca" on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman". She discusses playing paperboy Chris Elliot's mother on "Get A Life". Throughout the interview, Donahue talks about her many guest appearances including "The Loretta Young Show", "Star Trek", and "Ellen". Conducted April 25, 2006 by Jennifer Howard.
Full 7-part interview with actor Fess Parker. Parker talked about his childhood in Texas and eventual journey to Hollywood after his military service in World War II. He discussed his early television roles including Dragnet and Annie Oakleyy. In 1954, he was hired by Disney to play the lead in Davy Crockett, a limited series. The program spawned such a merchandising craze, that Parker's Crockett was brought back for two more limited series. After the series ended, Parker worked as a guest star, before launching into the short lived 1962 series, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. In 1964, Parker triumphed as the lead in (and occasional director of) the series, Daniel Boone, which ran for six years. Parker then semi-retired and acquired real estate, resorts and wineries. Conducted July 24, 2000 by Don Carleton.

Please, please, please could you do a Donald Bellisario 8-9 part interview, like your amazing Stephen J. Cannell one.

Bellisario was the creator and executive producer of the superb "Airwolf" series, along with "Magnum, p.i.", "Quantum Leap", "JAG" and "NCIS".
