Anne Boleyn is often wildly misrepresented on the page, and on screen and I feel that her true essence has been somewhat distorted because of the many untruths that are so popular. She is very well known for her death; however her life provided far more drama & re-shaped the course of history. Anne was not a saint as portrayed by Denny, she was not the villain as portrayed by Weir, and she certainly wasn't the alien-like being slaughtered by Gregory. She is a colourful, complex character, who we are only beginning to understand, and probably will never fully appreciate.

From 1911 to the present day, many actresses have tackled the role of Anne Boleyn in numerous different ways. I have made a short film in two parts, using some of the many actresses who have played the role of England's most influential & important Queen Consort. do not agree or like a number of the performances, but all have been instrumental in bringing to life one of the most misunderstood women in history.
