The original Doctor's House dates from 1867 and earned its name by being home to a succession of medical men - the last of whom, Dr. thomas Henry, Robinson, practiced in Kleinburg, Ontario for 52 years.

A major rebuilding and expansion program was completed in the spring of 1993. The original Doctor's House and Livery (1974) was completely gutted and approximately 14,000 square feet of building added, which includes a Dinning Room seating 200 people and six finely appointed banquet rooms.

A non-denominational chapel was erected on the property and is connected to the main building via a tunnel. The original Doctor's House was restored to its original architectural design.

The grounds at the Dooctor's House are truly a sight to see - consisting of beautifully manicured gardens and stunning surroundings all year long. Visitors to the grounds enjoy the lush foliage, wild flower perennials and rose bushes in the spring and summer seasons, the colourful changing of the leaves in autumn, and the festive decor and white snow in the crisp Canadian winters.

The flag stone pathway in the central garden leads to quaint non-denominational chapel that was erected on the property and is connected to the main building via an underground tunnel. The chapel backs onto a ravine where the gardens extend.

The gardens overlook the main building where the Dining Room is situated, and walks out onto a beautiful outdoor patio where patrons are welcomed to dine. We encourage you to visit the grounds and to take a journey into the past and relive the history of the village of Kleinburg.
