Lyrics: Yes I'm lonely wanna die Yes I'm lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
In the morning wanna die In the evening wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
My mother was of the sky My father was of the earth But I am of the universe And you know what it's worth I'm lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
The eagle picks my eye The worm he licks my bone I feel so suicidal Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones Lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
Black cloud crossed my mind Blue mist round my soul Feel so suicidal Even hate my rock and roll Wanna die yeah wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
The "Supergroup" - also known as "The Dirty Mac" - from the Rolling Stones' Rock n Roll Circus , 1968.
Almost legendary, the Rolling Stones' Rock n Roll Circus came complete with knife throwers, tigers, and midgets. Such was the Stones' early attempt at hip family entertainment. (Something, it seems to me, at which they became extraordinarily good. I went to see them at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in 1995. As I watched them on a stage that traversed the width of a football field, I realized I was now the age my father had been when I'd invited him to see the Rolling Stones perform at the Oakland Colliseum in 1969 when I was touring with them. In the Rose Bowl next to me were ten-year-olds and even younger. The Stones were truly bridging generations in a way that only Disney has, it seems. But, I digress.) The show was never aired. Brian Jones was to pass away shortly thereafter. But the line-up was extraordinary. Besides the Rolling Stones there were the Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithful, and, just for this occassion, the "Supergroup" consisting of John Lennon on rhythm guitar and vocals, Eric Clapton on lead guitar, Keith Richards on bass, and Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience on drums.
The Dirty Mac recorded a rendition of the Lennon-penned Beatles track "Yer Blues" and then went on to back up Yoko Ono and violinist Ivry Gitlis on a track called "Whole Lotta Yoko" (essentially an extended blues jam featuring Yoko Ono's non-word vocals). The name, thought of by Lennon, was a play on "Fleetwood Mac" who at that time were a very popular blues band in England. When asked what type of guitar amp Lennon would like to use for the performance his answer was "One that works."

If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day Eric Clapton
(by - Robert Johnson) If I had possession over judgement day, If I had possession over judgement day, Lawd, the woman I'm lovin' wouldn't have no right to pray.
And I went to the mountain, all my eyes could see. And I went to the mountain, all my eyes could see. How a man got my woman and the 'a lonesome blues got me.
Had to fold my arms and slowly walked away Had to fold my arms and slowly walked away. And I said in my mind, Yo' trouble gon' come someday.
And I rolled and I tumbled I cried the whole night long. And I rolled and I tumbled I cried the whole night long. When I woke up this mornin',my biscuit roller gone.
Well now come here, baby, set down on Daddys knee. Well now come here, baby, set down on Daddys knee. I wanna tell you all about the way they treated me.
