We support engaging scholarship in languages, literature, and the arts. 

Comprised of twenty-one departments and committees from Classics to Visual Arts, the Division of the Humanities is home to more than 1,200 faculty and graduate students at the University of Chicago dedicated to innovative humanistic inquiry in their teaching and research.
