Yes I seem to be making another one... though seeing as I've already got big plans chances are it'll not be finished for a very long time... if ever. This is pretty much all the work I've done on the thing so far, and I'm only posting it so that if I do finish, you can go back and compare it or something I dunno.
New features include higher quality MP3 music because I'm so sick of MIDIs, actually reasonable programming (or at least "good looking" programming) and for once YOU get to chose the character.
It's all very preliminary at the mo. There's not even a title screen. Quackers is obviously in it to try and stop Space Korea for the third time. Player 1's in it to save a captured Donley Kong, because nobody else gives a damn. Alphabet Man's in it though I haven't thought of a reason why, and Snake Logan's in it because Bio Menace needs more love. Jengo, sick and tired of the game has left entirely.
If you've got eyes you'll notice more empty character slots. God knows what I'll do with them. Also Sonic 2 GG intro needs a volume boost I know.

The first in a possible long line in proof videos showing that the Sega MegaDrive outranks the Super Nintendo when it comes to some games, and it's not always the other way around.
Though seeing as the MegaDrive had already got its fair share of decent Disney games at this point, it's no wonder why more effort was put into this port.
You could argue that the later Mega CD and Playstation ports beat this one but you'd expect that.

Gameplay from the Knuckles Chaotix prototype "Sonic Crackers". This is probably the most interesting Sonic the Hedgehog prototype ever, even moreso than the original Sonic 2 Beta. It's a big glitchy mess mind you.
Sonic Crackers eventually became the 32X hit Knuckles Chaotix, though the 32X bombed pushing that game into obscurity. Sonic and Tails became Mighty and "Wechidna", the latter being only choosable from debug modes. It's thought that the playable levels here became Techno Tower and Speed Slider, with the "overworlds" scrapped in favour of a 2D lobby.

Gameplay from the long lost second Sonic game, "Sonic Eraser". It's a title that only came out for Sega's Meganet service - a failed Japanese internet add on for the MegaDrive, and was forgotten until a few years ago when it was found and brought into the light.
The game is pretty terrible though, as you can witness as I thrash the computer using nothing but luck. It's a shame, because if this had been a little longer, polished so that it didn't hurt your ears and had some challenge it could quite easily have been a great game. A better idea than Columns anyway.
By the way this is the fan translated version - the original is in Japanese.

The famous pirate hack of "Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos", replacing Speedy with Sonic the Hedgehog. The first bunch of levels look pretty much the same, and after a few of them the game locks up (though this can be bypassed with hacking). Music is exactly the same on every level.

Gameplay from the pirate NES port of Pokémon Gold. If time and effort was put into it, no doubt the NES could easily run a Pokémon game, but this isn't the case here.

Yes that's where "Donley Kong" comes from.
