JOY is different from Happiness in that happiness is a feeling that can be fleeting. Happiness is most often externally triggered and is based on other people, things, places, thoughts and events.  
Joy is more consistent and is cultivated and strengthened internally when you understand, nurture and make peace with who you are, why you are and how you are. Joy moves a person out of a narrow self-centered preoccupation and opens within us a desire to bless and understand others as we learn to understand ourselves. Joy is an experience which connects us to that which is "Greater" within us, our greatest dreams, greatest hopes, greatest gifts and our greatest purpose.
