Madam Jupiter

‘This brief Tinselled burst’ is a series of micro documentaries following the singer/composer/ producer Hail!Maggiedacat.

my initial intention was to conduct the interviews over the phone. However, due to our time differences it proved too challenging. SOOO... she would leave messages in my voicemail! I decided her uninterrupted musings were far more interesting, so I used it!
Hail!Maggiedacat was always a fascinating figure to me. There is so little about her on the internet and no upcoming dates for live performances (according to her, she does not ‘do’ live shows). She exists purely in the ether.
Her music, for me at least, became the soundtrack to my brooding 3am wonderings. The series comprises of footage that she filmed herself and kindly sent to me to edit. I hope you enjoy.
