Geoffrey and Jan met in 2004 at Defqon.1 Festival. In 2006, they started to create a track together and decided to start a DJ/Producer duo as Bassdealer & The JVR. In 2008 they released their first EP at Kattiva Records called “Schon Muziekske”. This release was clearly noticed in the hardstyle scene and resulted in several bookings.

In 2017 it was time for a fresh reboot in their career. It was time for something new: Symbiotic Audio was born.

In 2019, Symbiotic Audio signed at Blow Beatz Records. 

In 2022, Geoffrey and Jan decided to team up with Mystic to start a new label: Sonic Revolutions. As of 2023 the have signed at KarmaKontra Records and Upcoming Records and Hyperverb's Love4hard.

The name Symbiotic Audio refers to a natural phenomenon called symbiosis.  In the studio, Geoffrey and Jan experience a symbiotic relationship: Geoffrey has a clear strength in kick and synth design and Jan focuses on technical arrangement of a track.
