Ananda Gopal Das Baul

Ananda Gopal Das Baul is the 7th generation of a Baul family: his musical training started with his grandmother Jogamaya Vaishnavi and grandfather Panchanan Thakur and for many years continued under his father Biswanath Das Baul. His spiritual Guru was Srimot Tapan Sai and Ananda Gopal Das continues to follow the Baul spiritual culture inherited from his Guru such as traditional Baul Madhukori (singing in exchange for alms). In India he is officially acknowledged as folk music artist and actively performs with his band "Sahajiyā Boter Baul Sampraday".
