Hello there,
To tell you the truth, I'm not 100% sure of the true meaning of the song. I've the impression that is about a guy (which the origianl is sang by a woman) who is confused after his girlfriend confesses she cheated him breaking up a "promise made." As they try to fix things, under the influence of alcohol, they have a sexual encounter. He asks for divine help however it "wouldn't be good enough." I guess they do break up at the end, and now she may be away sharing her heartbeats for the other guy when his heartbeats are still for hers. I also thought it could be about a one night stand but the phrase "we were in love" doesn't quite fit in... What impression do you get of the song? I would be interested to know =) Take care! |
