Free Design - one pretty unknown but awesome band from the 60s. Their members were of the same family .. the Dedrick Family. In the 90s, however, the interest in them began to grow again. Their songs were covered and featured in movies and series as e.g. the Gilmour Girls. their most awesome song in my view is this one - Make The Madness Stop. Everyone who enjoys easy listening and sunshine pop is gunna enjoy this one!!!
Lyrics:
Come along, come along- Follow the way that leads between madness and madness Flowers on both sides, each side has weeds and gladness and sadness
Whoa, whoa, walk the way of love, eyes open fly the skies above with hope and heart and sense Whoa, whoa, blow your mind but not completely make the madness stop Deplete we must the store of hate immense and men grouping groping nonsense
Pathways are green and black and white and yellow and crimson Walk on the rainbow flooded by boths sides truths and opinions
Whoa, whoa, walk the way of love, eyes open fly the skies above with hope and heart and sense Whoa, whoa, blow your mind but not completely make the madness stop Deplete we must the store of hate immense and mens grouping groping nonsense
Honesty and purity, beauty and sincerity Doesn't that sound corny Wish that I were corny
Whoa, whoa, walk the way of love, eyes open fly the skies above with hope and heart and sense Whoa, whoa, blow your mind but not completely make the madness stop Deplete we must the store of hate immense and men grouping groping nonsense
Whoa, whoa, walk the way of love, eyes open fly the skies above with hope and heart and sense Whoa, whoa, blow your mind but not completely make the madness stop.

The Who were and are the greatest rock band of all time. They played a lotta big festivals, including the famous Woodstock. One of their most awesome live gigs was their appearance on the Monterey Pop Festival though. They shocked the Hippie audience with their 1965 youth anthem "My Generation". Something that hard wasnt what the most of people attending the festival expected and in the end the Who are destroying their equipment. Well, i find it awesome as hell! Outstanding. Great. Über-cool. Godlike etc.
Lyrics:
People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
This is my generation This is my generation, baby
Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation) And don't try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I'm not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
This is my generation This is my generation, baby
Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation) And don't try to d-dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I'm not trying to cause a b-big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

Girlschool - what an awesome band. Aint it sexy, if some chicks are playing the hard rock
Girlschool - what an awesome band. Aint it sexy, if some chicks are playing the hard rock stuff, which is used to be played by men=? And they are not worse than the original bands .. here they perform "Race With The Devil", a song by the Gun and then covered by rock-icon Judas Priest ... but Girlschool's version rocks as well .. so just enjoy!
Lyrics:
You'd better run, you'd better run You'd better run from the devil's gun The race is on, the race is on Babe, you'd better run from the devil's gun
Strange things happen if you stay The devil will get you on any way He'll seek you here, he'll seek you there The devil will seek you everywhere
Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
And when he finds you, soon find out The devil's fire just won't go out It burns you up from head to toe The devil's crypt just won't let go
Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

The earliest live performance caught on tape of this great youth anthem. Shindig, an american music television show went to London, England, where awesome bands as The Who sang their hits. This version is kinda special, cuz instead of the "talkin bout my generation", Pete and John sang a long "talkinnnnn" and the famous stuttering by Roger Daltrey is missing as well. But nonetheless this tune is gunna blow your mind!!! Who is not givin 5 stars for that, doesnt know anything bout rock music ^^

The performing their 1967 hit "I Can See For Miles" on new years eve of 1969. What an awes
The performing their 1967 hit "I Can See For Miles" on new years eve of 1969. What an awesome date to celebrate a great Rock n Roll tune of one of the greatest Rock n Roll Bands of all time! "I Can See For Miles" was their breakthrough-hit in America. It is prolly the band's most "psychedelic" song ... but also with some heavy influence. So, as always, awesome as fuckin hell!
Lyrics:
I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise I know that you have 'cause there's magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
If you think that I don't know about the little tricks you play And never see you when deliberately you put things in my way
Well, here's a poke at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that smile Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
You took advantage of my trust in you when I was so far away I saw you holding lots of other guys and now you've got the nerve to say
That you still want me Well, that's as may be But you gotta stand trial Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise I know that you have 'cause there's magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal are mine to see on clear days You thought that I would need a crystal ball to see right through the haze
Well, here's a poke at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that smile Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles*

The Who performing their most famous and infamous song "My Generation" live on the Smother
The Who performing their most famous and infamous song "My Generation" live on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. One of the best versions of this song prolly. Doin their thing and detroying their intruments at the end of the song (save John Entwistle, who just stands and watches the others ^^) til Moon's base drum explodes ... awesome !!

One of the best songs of one of the best bands all over the world, of all time ! Recorded in 1966, and showed here on the awesome and renowned "Beat Club". This performance isnt live, but the Who are miming to their song .. but nonetheless ... it is awesome and you HAVE TO enjoy it ;)
Lyrics:
I used to wake up in the morning I used to feel so bad I got so sick of having sleepless nights I went and told my dad
He said, "Son now here's some little something" And stuck them on my wall And now my nights ain't quite so lonely In fact I, I don't feel bad at all
Pictures of Lily made my life so wonderful Pictures of Lily helped me sleep at night Pitcures of Lily solved my childhood problems Pictures of Lily helped me feel alright
Pictures of Lily Lily, oh Lily Lily, oh Lily Pictures of Lily
And then one day things weren't quite so fine I fell in love with Lily I asked my dad where Lily I could find He said, "Son, now don't be silly"
"She's been dead since 1929" Oh, how I cried that night If only I'd been born in Lily's time It would have been alright
Pictures of Lily made my life so wonderful Pictures of Lily helped me sleep at night
For me and Lily are together in my dreams And I ask you, "Hey mister, have you ever seen" "Pictures of Lily?"
