David Mac Dougall is a freelance reporter, currently working as Fox News Channel's Iraq correspondent. He contributes live breaking news reports, in-depth analysis and feature stories. David has interviewed numerous senior political and military leaders in Iraq, and has embedded frequently with US forces.

In his career to date, David has reported from more than a dozen countries in Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia -- as well as the USA.

David's first job in television was producing a morning newscast in Boise Idaho. He has also freelanced for BBC Scotland and other public radio stations.

Prior to becoming a journalist, David spent ten years working as a diplomat for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He was assigned to British embassies in Finland, Israel, DR Congo and Guatemala.
