This video is my take on the season 6 episode "All In," from Horatio's point of view. It's a shame TPTB never followed up on the pain Horatio seemed to be going through during that ep., nor did they resolve anything between H and Cal. These two have a long history, and it was evident from Season 1 that they care for each other deeply — and it doesn't necessarily mean in a romantic way, although I've certainly believed that. Their bond of friendship is so beautiful, and it's what I wanted to highlight throughout the video — for those who forgot, for those who don't know, and for those who really miss it.
The video starts w/H coming back from Brazil in "All In" and learning of Calleigh's kidnapping. As he discovers Calleigh's clues he flashes back to different times they've had together, as well as the last time he saw her in "Ambush." It's a bit longer than I originally planned, but I really wanted to tell a story here, and have some resolution, so hopefully it worked out.
As for the song, I had been kicking around an idea for a video w/ "The Scientist" by Coldplay for quite some time. However, EDeN fans already came up with a great video for their ship w/this song, so I figured I'd let it go. However, when I saw "Ambush/All In," I just had to go for it.
I read that "The Scientist" was partly written about a neglected relationship. Well, there is no other relationship on any of the CSIs that is more neglected than Horatio and Calleigh's right now. While I enjoyed and was grateful for the few post-writers'-strike scenes, these two deserve more! Especially after 29 episodes of zero interaction prior to the writers' strike!
While watching "All In," which I really enjoyed, I kept thinking about all the regrets Horatio might have had while trying to find Cal, and how devastating it would've been for him to lose her. He's definitely neglected her the past two years, and I think the lyrics "Come up to meet you, Tell you I'm sorry..." really fit w/what he probably wanted to do during that ep — and something that should be done on-screen soon!
I just love Coldplay's lyrics to this song -- they fit the situation so perfectly! Check 'em out when you get a chance.
Well, I hope you like the video — feedback is much appreciated!! Let me know what you think! Thanks! Oh, and to TPTB: Please Bring Back DuCaine!!

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the feedback on my other videos - it's much appreciated and an inspiration!
This video is a sequel to "Don't Speak." It's from Horatio's POV, and it's basically what I wish would've happened during "Stand Your Ground."
Here's my summary (SPOILERS FOR VIDEO):
***** Horatio begins to regret his fallout with Calleigh, and the fact that he refused to listen to Calleigh's advice about counseling. While she is still mad at him, she begins to see him mourning Marisol, and then dealing with his new-found son Kyle. The discovery that he has a son moves Cal to talk to him, and they begin to reconcile. When Calleigh almost gets killed in "Stand Your Ground," Horatio realizes how important she is to him, and decides to step out for her — bring on the Jake confrontation! (The black and white scenes are flashbacks, mostly from H's POV).
When I heard this song ("Only One") by Yellow Card, I instantly thought of our dynamic duo. I think the lyrics fit really well with what's going on in the show right now, and I love the intensity of the music. Besides, Calleigh is definitely Horatio's "only one." I particularly love the line: "There's just no one like you" — that's so true of Calleigh, and I think that's how H feels about her - no matter who he gets involved with — either romantically or on his team — there really is no one like Calleigh Duquesne. Definitely check out the lyrics to this song if you get a chance.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it! TPTB definitely need to get H and Cal in scenes together - STAT! These two are so great together, there's no denying it :)
Please let me know what you think, as feedback is much appreciated and inspiring!

To everyone who's wondering why Horatio and Calleigh haven't worked together in 26 episode
To everyone who's wondering why Horatio and Calleigh haven't worked together in 26 episodes (and counting), here's a possible explanation.
I am a DuCaine shipper, but I think all CSI:Miami fans could watch this video. It's ridiculous that these two characters who have such great chemistry — and are the two leads — don't interact anymore (the nine-word exchange in "Man Down" and the five-second "two-shot" in "Chain Reaction" don't count in my book).
The video — mostly from Cal's POV — starts off with Horatio and Calleigh at odds with each other, and then flashes back to the beginning of the problems, which I think started when H struck up a relationship with Marisol. I think this created a tension between H and Cal -- she may have felt slighted that he confided in a complete stranger instead of her (though not necessarily in a romantic way.)
Anyhow, in the end I think Cal accepted H and Marisol's relationship, but after Marisol was killed, everything went downhill for Horatio and Calleigh. That's when they stopped interacting. In the video, I present my theory of why: Basically, Cal is worried that all the losses in Horatio's life (Speed, Marisol, Raymond and even Eric's injury) are hurting his relationship with the team and the way he does his job. She notices he's become withdrawn and distant, (and that his body count has been piling up), so she tries to help. When he rejects her help, she lets him know how she really feels about the way he's been acting lately. The black-and-white scenes are meant to convey Horatio and Calleigh's memories.
There really is no explanation for why H and Cal haven't said a word to each other all season and have hardly spoken in over a year, but since TPTB refuse to explain it, I thought I'd give it a shot. Cutting the scenes and dialogue together was tricky, but I think it worked out in the end. Plus, I really love "Don't Speak" by No Doubt -- it's a great song and lyrics perfectly fit what's happening to Horatio and Calleigh's friendship — pretty much because they really "don't speak" anymore...
Now I definitely don't want this distance to carry on for much longer -- so please, if TPTB are listening, bring back DuCaine!
Please let me know what you think! Feedback is much appreciated -- thanks!

This video is a tribute to Horatio and Calleigh's friendship and trust in one another. Cal
This video is a tribute to Horatio and Calleigh's friendship and trust in one another. Calleigh is Horatio's "Signal Fire," as the song goes - she's the constant who's always been there for him when things went bad - from his brother's murder to Speed's death to him being accused of police brutality...the list goes on.
In the video, Horatio is realizing how much Calleigh means to him, flashing back to good times and bad. I really wanted the video to reflect the words in the song, from H's point of view, and I think DuCaine fans will enjoy the ending in particular.
Horatio is often seen as the hero in CSI:Miami, but I think he needs Calleigh to guide him to safety emotionally, and that's what this video is trying to reflect - she is his joy, and the calm through all the chaos.
Hopefully Calleigh and Horatio will start having some scenes together on the show again to rekindle that friendship they once shared. DuCaine is one of a kind!
