This video will show you how to dual boot Windows XP (Home Edition) and Windows Vista (Home Basic) with Vista preinstalled.
NO THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED
This video assumes that:
- you only have one hard drive installed.
- there is 35840 MB (35 GB) drive space.
- you are dual booting Windows XP (Home Edition), and Windows Vista (Home Basic)
- that Vista is preinstalled.
- CDs are prioritised over Hard Drives.
Things you may need to know to help you install the software efficiently:
- there is 1024 MB in 1 GB
- you will need an OEM CD (from Microsoft), this is a shiny disk, and it should say "Distribute only with a new PC", or "OEM builders version",
- you will need all your driver disks (from the appropriate companies, such as NVidia for a graphics card),
- you will need your activation code.
- partitioning means splitting your hard drive into two "sides". Think of is as eight slices of cake as eight partitions.
- formatting makes data writable.
ONE LAST THING: There is no camera facing the computer monitor. Everything is directly recorded.
