Galen A. Smith Sr. is a writer and podcaster. He is a Memphis native and attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., (Ole Miss) from 1982-87 where he studied Liberal Arts, majoring in Print Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Sociology. Smith was a reporter for the Ole Miss Review in 1984 and a Senior Staff Writer, Contributing Writer and Entertainment Editor for The Daily Mississippian, the student newspaper, from 1985-87 while at Ole Miss. Smith is a former sports writer for the Logan Leader and News-Democrat in Russellville, Ky., in 1987. He was also a Staff Writer, Book Reviewer and Editorial Assistant for the BG Daily News from 1990-95.
