Matoro is not a nerd if you look at the old bionicle legends unlike all the rest of the ko-matoran matoro was not much of a thinker and he was a translator to nuju and a great rahi hunter so he was a skilled fighter p.s matoro is one of my favorite toa but the original toa Kopaka is my favorite.
