Some of you may be familiar with this one but for those that aren't, here's a quick rundown of the events. * The first incident occurred during the sports segment of the WGN 9:00 p.m. news broadcast; During the sports section of the 9pm news broadcast on Americas WGN network, an unauthorised signal over powered the sations transmitters and was broadcast for over a minute. The signal had no audio, but the video was of someone in a Max Headroom mask gesturing at the camera.
The second of these incidents occured during the evening broadcast of Dr Who on WTTW. This time the signal had audio and viewers were witness to a unintelligble rant from the 'fake' Max Headroom character.
We have cleaned the audio up somewhat and removed a lot of the noise present. Although the vocoding type interference is still there it should be a lot easier to understand what is being said in this version.

Now you may not have heard of Troy Hurtubise before, but trust us, he is a legend! Troy is an inventor who has invested over 15 years of his life into designing and creating some amazing things
The Bear suit was Troy's first invention, after an encounter with a grizzly bear he became obsessed with the animals, learning everything he could about them. After a showing of the film Robocop he struck on an idea, a protective suit that would allow a human to survive an attck by a bear.
He invested over $15000 into creating his suit and finally came up with something he was happy with. He proceeded to prove its success by using himself as a guinea bear and being attacked by a bear whilst wearing the suit.
It was a success, but just to prove it some more and possibly gain some much deserved publicity he went on to survive a direct impact with a BMW and being thrown down an escarpment

It was bound to happen, almost inevitable, but HD-DVD has been hacked. No sign of DVD-Jon this time though :)
HD-DVD uses an encryption system called AACS which stands for Advanced Access Content System, basically it is a system that restricts the devices that can play the discs.
But a Canadian hacker going by the name of Muslix64 has cracked it. A video of the software being used to extract Warner Brothers war epic Full Metal Jacked was posted on youtube but Warner Brothers has had it removed already, somebodys obviously very scared! What did they expect though? Nothing is uncrackable, they have probably a thousand people working on protecting a device, compare this to the hundreds of thousands of people who are attempting the crack it!
This version of the video has the copyright infringing section pixelated out and the audio muted, so the powers that be shouldnt remove this one!

Just recieved a laser from www.wickedlasers.com in the post. Now i've played with laser's before, as i'm sure you all have but I wasn't expecting this.
For a start, your average laser pointer that can be purchased in the shops is 5mw. This beast is rated at 150mw!
The beam it produces is amazingly bright and can be seen clearly, the thing that impressed me more than anything was the distance. It just keeps on going! You can shine a clear spot onto objects that are miles away, although keeping that spot stable at such a long distance becomes a problem without a tripod!
The laser itself is well made, comes in its own wooden presentation case with space for spare batteries and even has an engraved metal holder for it, handy if you want to take it somewhere but don't want to carry the wooden case about. The holder has a felt lining to stop it getting scratched.
The power button feels strong and sturdy and the batteries last about 100 hours.
You need to be careful with these lasers as they are not a toy, i repeat NOT A TOY!
We will get some long range videos uploaded as soon as possible. For now though, we have put together a compilation of lasers from www.wickedlasers.com

A team from Princeton University set out to prove once and for all the Diebold voting machines could be hacked easily.
Not only did they prove this to be a fact, they created a Diebold specific virus that spreads from voting machine to voting machine.
You can find out more information about the work they did and download a full PDF report on the security vulnerability at this link http://itpolicy.princeton.edu/voting/
This video just reinforces exactly how vulnerable these machines are, and once you take into consideration the fact that these machines are effectivley controlling the American Election, it looks even more scary!

American computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis is seen in this video testifying under oath in front of the U.S. House Judiciary Members in Ohio.
He tells the members how he was hired by Congressman Tom Feeney in 2000 to build a prototype software package that would secretly rig an election to sway the result 51 / 49 to a specified side.
He explains that it would be undetectable and only takes 100 lines of code to implement, watch it and then think about where your vote is really going :)
