Story
Luchia ist 13 Jahre alt, eine Meerjungfrau und die Prinzessin des Pazifischen Ozeans. Als sie noch klein war rettete sie einem Jungen das Leben, der bei einem Unwetter von einem Kreuzfahrtschiff ins Meer gefallen war. Um dem Jungen das Leben zu retten, gab sie ihm ihre magische Perle, die ihn heilen sollte.
Viele Jahre später wird Luchia auf die Suche geschickt, um ihre Perle wieder zu finden, denn ohne Perle kann sie keine richtige Prinzessin werden. Luchia macht sich auf in die Menschenwelt. Dort trifft sie auf wieder Kaito, den Jungen den sie damals gerettet hatte. Jedoch auch das Böse ist auf der Suche nach Luchia´s Perle und da Kaito die Perle immer noch in seinem Besitz hatte, wurde er von Izul, eine Dienerin des bösen Gaito, angegriffen. Luchia möchte ihm natürlich helfen, aber sie ist zu schwach. Als Kaito ihr im letzten Moment die Perle wieder zuwirft, verwandelt sie sich in die "Pink Pearl Mermaid Princess". Mermaids können mit ihren Songs die bösen Mächte des Meeres vertreiben, da diese den schönen Gesang nicht ertragen können. Izul flüchtet und somit hat Luchia Kaito schon ein zweites Mal gerettet.
Doch die Liebe zwischen einer Meerjungfrau und einem Menschen ist nicht gerade einfach, da es einer Meerjungfrau in ihrer menschlichen Gestalt nicht erlaubt ist, einem Menschen ihre wahre Identität zu verraten, da sie sich sonst in Meeresschaum auflöst. Sollte es der Mensch jedoch von sich aus alleine herausfinden, dann ist ok. So befindet sich Luchia jedoch immer im Zweifel, ob Kaito sie nur als Mermaid liebt oder auch als Mensch.
Doch das ist nicht Luchia´s einziges Problem, denn der Anführer der Bösen, Gaito, welcher Kaito zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht, möchte alle 7 Weltmeere beherrschen, doch dazu braucht er alle 7 Perlen der
Meerjungfrauen Prinzessinen. 2 Prinzessinen hat er bereits in seiner Gewalt und er sendet seine Dienerinnen aus, um ihm auch noch die verbleibenden Prinzessinen zu bringen.
Luchia ist jedoch nicht alleine. Nach und nach stoßen weitere Verbündete zu ihr. Zuerst Hanon, die hellblaue Prinzessin des Süd Atlantik und danach Lina, die grüne Prinzessin des Nord Atlantik. Gemeinsam bekämpfen sie die bösen Mächte des Meeres mit ihrem Gesang und müssen zudem die Meeresgöttin Aqua Regina wiedererwecken, damit das Böse auf alle Zeit verbannt werden kann. Doch um sie zu erwecken, benötigt man alle 7 Perlen. Somit müssen Luchia, Hanon und Lina zuerst die anderen Mermaids finden.
