I am a 38-year-old lover of technology. I owns and run my own Internet Business Consultancy working with companies in search engine optimisation, website design and e-business.

I started out as a freelance programmer whilst in the last years of his education and am proud that my first client then, is still a client now over twenty years later.

From the early days when they wanted a computer system to save them writing out tens-of-thousands of mailing labels, they have developed into a fully featured e-business, with a single application running their back-office operation and providing content management on their website. Microsoft highlighted the system as an example of excellence.

After taking a couple of years out working as a ski-guide in the French Alps, I sought to establish a more formal business. With a business partner I established Educational Software Productions to create CD-ROMs for the, then new, national curriculum and literacy hour. The CD-ROMs sold worldwide with such publishers as Granada TV (Semeric), Folens and Films for the Humanities and Sciences. I remain immensely proud of the work produced by the company, but like all things it came to an end when a new partner was brought in to the business and personalities clashed.

Taking a change of pace, I took a 'real job' as the IT manager for a City of London stock broking firm where I guided them in the transition between a traditional business and e-business.

Not being one to let the grass grow under my feet, I decided it was time to move on to pastures new and I started my own business bringing together the skills and experience I have gained over the years into Jason Rudland Internet Business Consultants. I look forward to continuing learning for many years to come...
