Born and living in Japan, I'm much better at Japanese than English or any other languages. However, I think that all users (of course, including me) should use English anywhere on YouTube, not only because it's a US-based website. Whether you want to use it or not, it's no doubt that English is the only common language on the Internet and thus, writing in English is the best way to spread your words to the world.

Although I'ma Japanese myself, it's really annoying to me that such many Japanese people post comments in their language only. Indeed, I think it's okay to post a video that is performed in any kind of language. But when the video is not in English, we should at least write some comments and descriptions in English to make clear what's happened in the video. That's a matter of manner.
