Playing the Reds and the Washington Nationals this week,.......WE JUST GOT BACK FROM DC, NOTE THE NEW GIF CAPITAL IMAGE......................... . My 2008 season at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs being reported exclusively for YOUTUBE.COM.............. Our staff will be covering the Chicago Cubs as field reporters with news you will not find in the other mainstream media with features on the Bleachers, ballhawks, hot dog guy, 7th inning stretches, batting practice, bobble heads, national anthems, Waveland Avenue, Engine 78, player interviews, autograph signings, gate K action, fenceline action, statues, and other news in and around the ballpark and Wrigleyville. Special interviews with the Greatest Cub fans in the world .... ... .............................. .................. ,,.................... ,, ..... VIDEO JOURNAL ALL 182 GAMES IN 2008.
Name: Ray Kinsella and Roy Hobbs
This year we will be watching every game with a variety of methods including sitting in the bleachers, front row, back row, sitting in the grandstands(front and backrows) going to Miller Park, on Waveland Avenue, on Sheffield Avenue, at a bar, at home on tv, on the internet(live stream), and of course litening to Pat and Ron on WGN Radio......................... .Loyal lifetime Chicago Cubs fans, attended 38 games last year in the park and 17 out on Waveland Avenue. Our field staff will be in and out of the park this year. My claim to fame, as lead reporter, I was at the game in 1969 when Cubs pitcher Ken Holtzman threw his first no hitter on August 19, 1969. I sat in the bleachers on 8/8/88 for the first night game, it was a rainout. I was at clincher game in 2003 but watched the Bartman game on television at a North Shore Ice Arena(Cubs fans all remember where they were at that moment). Fast forward to 2007, I caught two balls on Waveland during the White Sox series, all batting practice, no gamers. Caught several in park, several throw ups by players, no gamers. This year I have caught one throw up ball from Soriano and one ball on Waveland Avenue during batting practice. In my childhood, Dave Kingman lived next door for a year and Joe Pepitone lived around the corner for two years. He had a bar on State and Division called "The Joe Pepitone Thing" later becoming the Rockery and now a CVS Pharmacy. He would get annoyed when us kids would say "Hey Pepi" In 1969 Leo Durocher married a mom in my sister's class at school so we saw him several times at school. He was very friendly as I remember. I loved Leo in that episode of the Munster's when Herman tried out for the Dodgers. Leo is also in an episode of Mr. Ed and The Beverly Hillbillies. I am searching for the Mr Ed footage if anybody can locate it on the internet or youtube. i................. The 1969 Chicago Cubs were the Greatest team ever.

Interests and Hobbies: We have two interests: The Winter Classic outdoor Hockey game for 1/1/09 with the Chicago Blackhawks against the Detroit Redwings outdoors at Wrigley Field, and,,,,,,,,,,DEMOLITION OF GRAND STANDS NOW;,,,,,,,,My new interest in renovation of Wrigley Field. The only way to do it right is total demolition of the grandstands, that is first and 3rd base side seats. Keep the field(DO NOT TOUCH THE FIELD), the wall(bartman wall), keep the bleachers, keep the score board and demo the rest. Build a new grandstand like they did at Arlington Race Track after the fire. You can make a better park with better sight ines, more skyboxes and best of all build all the way out to Clark on the 3rd base side where the car wash and Yum Yum Donuts space are for a mini convention center. Also lots more bathrooms and some more parking. When demolition is done save all the old concrete to mix into the new park for green reasons and keeping the history. Hire me to do the Public Relations on this. You can probably increase seating to 48,000 by going higher, God forbid some seats will be high and far. Perhaps a three tier bleacher similar to the new Saint Louis Cardinals stadium with the second level being a club level like at the United Center. I think playing one year at the Cell Park but if construction is done right some games could be played at WRigley with limited seating especially if no bleacher work is done. Sam Zell, if you read this this is my plan, don't move to ARlington Hts, I know that deal with be sweet for you in the short run but bad for Cub fans and Chicago. y.,,,,,,,,,,,,,Keep the Cubs at WRigley but rebuild the park,,,,also keep the Marque and put it back after the construction, keep that name WRigley Field................i............i................i ,,,,,,,,,,,,,......................DO NOT LET THE ILLINOIS SPORTS AUTHORITY BUY WRIGLEY FIELD, it is a private business and government has no business here.
