When I saw the movies you've added, it made me go "Oh... my... god". Someone out there has taken all the different things I think are inspirational, intelligent and important and collected them on one page. It's almost eerie, the match is so complete.

Coming from someone who only double checks facts from creationist sources. If you would have bothered to double check the real reasons why the vast majority of those people were fired you'd realize how ignorant your statement is. Expelled was a horrible piece of propaganda laden with false statements and logical fallacies.

Hmmm, wish I could hear one of your classes. So you study gender and islam, a very practical specialization. Subsequently, you think that, sure, even if women are dominated by a theology that makes them the sole property of their patriarch... To occasionally, in the name of god, be hijabed, mutilated, and sequestered. They must really want it that way.

I study Gender and Islam at my university, and I know that the status of women in Shari'a is not clear-cut right or wrong. The prevailing conclusion is that as long as someone freely chooses thier way of live, even if others see it as derogatory, they should be allowed. Freedom of expression and freedom of thought and discussion are the key factors of a progressive society, not insults and intolerance.

Do not get me wrong, I'm not accusing you of being intolerant, just explaining the rational behind the comment that sparked your interest. :)

It was not against your opinion that I wrote as such, but against your conduct. I cannot condone meanness in any form, for any reason. Even if someone who believed the world was flat and that pigeons were sacred told you that you were going to hell for not believing the same, there is absolutely no cause to insult them, rather, it would be better to be kind and courteous if you intend to try an convince them out of it or debate with them as to why they believe so.
