Thanks again for everyone's support. I'm feeling more at peace with what happened. I guess time is the only healer when something like this happens..

But the donations in Burnsy's name seemed to to a lot of good so I hope that if you are in a position to donate, feel free to make a donation to your local no-kill animal shelter. The people who run them usually go above and beyond to save those sweet animals that would otherwise be put down.

Hi,

I gather from your profile that you recently lost your beautiful cat. There are no words in the world, certainly none that I can give, that can help you through your pain right now, but you did an amazing job in taking Burnsy from the rescue centre and giving him a warm and loving home. The videos you have are nowhere near as comforting as a warm, purring cat, but they are terrific records of your time together.

We passed the hat around and raised $217.00 for a no-kill shelter that is a few miles from base. We did it anonymously of course, and just wrote "in memory of the sleepy kitty" on the envolope.

Remember. In heaven all things are possible. Burnsy will be there waiting for you. Just make sure he gets to sleep in a bit.

Love the sleepy kitten vid...it made my own perk her ears up and look around for it. Thanks for sharing your sweetie. My whole family either belongs to the humane society and I myself live on the coast and have helped to place many hurricane babies.
