hey does anyone know if you do join the CG you get to pick where you want to be stationed or does the CG send you to the station of thier choice like the other branches??

Just stumbled upon your great reports while looking for serious local news clips. Hurray for the US Coast Guard. You guys have picked me out of the water near the Golden Gate Bridge after my kite went down. I am sure you could capture some great footage in San Francisco on this topic .. :)
