Hi Everyone, I have been a "Happy" type 1 diabetic for over 2 decades! I played football at Bentley College and was inducted into the national collegiate Hall of Fame But those days are gone.

My goal for this YouTube account is to answer any questions you might have on diabetes and educate others on how I have lifted the "BURDEN" of Diabetes in my life to be happy and productive.

Of course, when i first found out 2 years ago I felt my life was over and that I had cause diabetes myself, and like many others, I though i couldn't eat products with suger! Two years have passed since my dignosis and i've had 2 years of dreadful lows and disgusting highs. But I wouldn't trade diabetes for anything. It really made me into me. Made me stronger, healthier and given me something to think about..... No matter how bad something can be you must always look at it positivly. Because when you stop being positive, everything becomes alot more difficult. Thank you 1HappyDiabetic for posting up videos that I can watch and learn something new from.

	swinburn1 \| June 24, 2008 Hi Bill, First of all thanks a lot for such a great and inspirational work. Really awesome. I was diagnosed with type 1 ten months ago and was on just 12 units of lantus until now as I was in my honeymoon period (that is what they call it before going totally dependant on insulin). I was getting peeks for last few days and today; I went to see my GP. After some discussion he suggested to start with two shots of 14 units of humalog 25/70 per day and also advised me to keep a close check on my sugar levels. I am just wondering if you can make a video on types of insulin available out there that would be great. Once again good work and keep it up. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia.
