This might sound a bit crazy... But im happy being a type one diabetic. Of course, when i first found out 2 years ago I felt my life was over and that I had cause diabetes myself, and like many others, I though i couldn't eat products with suger! Two years have passed since my dignosis and i've had 2 years of dreadful lows and disgusting highs.
But I wouldn't trade diabetes for anything. It really made me into me. Made me stronger, healthier and given me something to think about..... No matter how bad something can be you must always look at it positivly. Because when you stop being positive, everything becomes alot more difficult. Thank you 1HappyDiabetic for posting up videos that I can watch and learn something new from. |

Hi Bill,
First of all thanks a lot for such a great and inspirational work. Really awesome. I was diagnosed with type 1 ten months ago and was on just 12 units of lantus until now as I was in my honeymoon period (that is what they call it before going totally dependant on insulin). I was getting peeks for last few days and today; I went to see my GP. After some discussion he suggested to start with two shots of 14 units of humalog 25/70 per day and also advised me to keep a close check on my sugar levels. I am just wondering if you can make a video on types of insulin available out there that would be great. Once again good work and keep it up. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia. |
