If you were given the chance to bring back a loved one... would you? Even if it meant risking your own life...
AU STORY: [PLEASE READ TO UNDERSTAND]
Cloud can feel Aerith's presence whenever he misses her. She's always there to guide him and comfort him whenever he needs in. While riding on his fernir Cloud begins to wish he could bring her back and really be with her in flesh. He goes to the Church where he lives and falls asleep. Aerith's presence is felt as he begins to dream. In his dreams he sees her more and more and soon he becomes convinced to do whatever it takes to bring her back.
Tifa confronts Cloud and asks him why he's isolated himself amoung other questions. Cloud doesn't know what to say to her... all he can remember is the pain he felt when Aerith died in his arms.
He begins to head to where Rufus is for a delivery and on his way he remembers the ribbon he had tied around his arm in remembrance of Aerith. When he walks in it seems that Rufus already knows what Cloud wants most. Cloud looks down at some papers on the desk and notices that there is data on recent mako experiments on soldiers. He remembers the time when he told Aerith that he wished he could have saved her. He thinks of all the terrible things that have happened that lead to Aerith's death. He remembered the time when she told him "I'll come back when it was all over," [this is an actually quote from that game xD]
Rufus sees the uncertainty in his eyes and tells him about the experiment. Cloud is uninterested until Rufus tells him "You want her back... don't you?" his attention is caught. Aerith flashes through his mind. Rufus asks him "So... do you agree?" Cloud responds "It's worth all that hurts me..." this seals the deal. Rufus tells him he'll bring her back... but... his words aren't always true.
He tells Aerith that she has his heart but not his soul because he already gave it to the Shinra. He begins to regret the day he left the Church, leaving Aerith deeply worried for him.
While being infused with mako[green part] he remembers how sad she looked when he left. The memories of the day she died consumes him and it becomes to much for him. He screams in agony and Rufus watches as the mako starts to change Cloud. But Aerith reaches him and heals his pain and returns him to as he was before. He wakes up in the Church with the city people around him. He remembers feeling Aerith's hand before passing out and he looks around for her. The children are jumping with joy because a cure for geostigma has been made. It was because of Aerith, when she healed Cloud she created a cure for the disease as well. His eyes catch her speaking with the children and soon his full attention is on her. She walks away and he feels like he betrayed her. She never wanted him to hurt himself for her...
Cloud wanders away from the city and begins to think of what he did. He never wanted to hurt her again. The memory of Aerith saying his name causes him to collapse. He becomes unconscious, Tifa and Marlene watch over him as he sleeps with alarmed and watchful eyes. Cloud then feels Aerith's hand touch him and he wakes up from his dream. Reality crashes down on him and the feel of her body and the water beneath his fingers wash over him.

I usually don't make AU FF storyline. But I wanted to give it a try, hope it's good... and not depressing. I hope it's a good kind of depressing... O.o like... "OMG THAT TOUCHED ME T.T" iono... o.o
I know there's some flaws in it. BELIEVE ME, I tried to fix them, argh... Sony Vegas Dx
This took me a month to edit x.x;

[STORY]
Reno's been controlled and shaped into the man he's today becuse of Shin-Ra. This is what a turk do. The dirty job no one else can do. Being cold when everyone else would be so emotional. He could never betray Shin-Ra. He hasn't been trained to do so.
Reno starts talking about his past and how much he's been controled by Shin-Ra. He dreams about it every night. The dream starts with Edea's parade. Shin-Ra was supporting her and Reno was working on the parade with some turks, Shin-Ra wanted everything to be perfect. But of course, there are always those rebels who hate Edea. Squall Leonhart was one of them. Reno runs after Squall, but Squall notices he's being chased after, and gets in a car, making Reno lose sight of him.
After some days, Reno was off duty and he finds Squall again. Squall is ready to runaway, but Reno tells him he's not working today so they sit, drink a beer and talk all night. As days, weeks, months go by, every Edea parade Squall would show up to stop her and whenever Reno saw him, he'd smile and let him go. They were friends.
Hiding away from Shin-Ra for two years, Tseng finally locates Squall and orders Reno and Rude to kill him. Reno is shocked, but if he fails, he knows he'll be the one punished instead. They go after Squall, Squall tries to call out his name and stop him, but Reno does not listen.
Reno lives forever with the guilty on his shoulders.
"The last two years with you... It's been more than I've ever hoped for."
[NOTES]
It was supposed to be another yuri at first. However, as I was trying to think of something for the audition, I was rewatching some of Raiden's conversations with Rose about his past and I immediatly remembered Reno. Raiden (Metal Gear Solid) and Reno have the same voice actor (Quinton Flynn), so I decided to use his voiceovers for Reno. It's weird though, because Reno and Raiden have NOTHING in common (okay, both are bishounen, but that's all they have in common. XD~). Anyway, you probably have no idea of what I'm talking about so let's move on, since FF fans usually aren't into MGS. But you should. Because MGS is totally the best game ever created.
Anyway, short video for the audition. Man, I feel awful now. I wannna hug Reno and cry and tell him everything's going to be okay. ;___;
