China (3/88.. Typical Communist, does not leave room for Comment.
Blow your own trumpet...Blah blah... Up the Greens! :)

Who ever is in Commonwealth Parliament, they still get paid, Paid more than this white-face. If you are going to comment, don't be afraid to show your dial, China00..

No, if anyone speaks out DERISIVELY against the Greens, they should be treated like some frothing-at-the mouth right winger. Organisations like the IPA are a dying minority of idiotic ideology instigators whose anti-Green rhetoric is by and large a source of light entertainment if that.

Don't you think its strange that anyone who disagrees with the Greens, or the Left in general, is by definition a 'right-wing ranter' who should, indeed must, be silenced instantly in the interests of free speech? Go on, delete my comment

I would like to know why, in my NSW seat of Werriwa, The Greens were placed 2nd-last on Labors 'how to vote' guides, even behind fred niles party? The Greens preferences pushed Labor into power and this is the kind of thanks they get in return!?!?!!
Perhaps The Greens could use its good 2007 election result as a bargaining tool for the next one. Maybe then the Australian environment might actually win for a change, even if it means having to give preferences to the Libs and be putting them back into power.
LISTEN UP LABOR!!

Wow!

I wonder what happened to you guys??

There were many Greens supporters who vowed that they Greens would get 10% nationally this time!!

Considering that in the last two elections, you have eaten the dying democrats, with migrating dems deleted from your national total, you went backwards... like all minor parties, I guess.

However, this was the climate change election and you didn't shine, despite the biggest surge to the Left since 1944.

It will be interesting to see what happens in 2010 when there are no more dying progressive parties to gnaw on... maybe 7% is around your baseline support after all??

Bob - CONGRATULATIONS!! Especially for the following..quote

"Perhaps the greatest achievement was to break through the quota on primary votes in Tasmania - Bob's 17.7% is well above the 14.2% needed to elect a Senator. This is the first time the Greens have achieved quota on primaries and I believe only the second time any minor party has done so"

and for over one million votes in the Senate. FANTASTIC! Labour won a stack of seats due to the Green's preferences (some estimate up to 21) - I hope they remember this!

I was proud to stand up for the GREENS - well done to you all!

Next election how will the Greens survive when the Unions no longer fund you to prop up the Labor Parties vote? You guys got an increase of less than one percent in an Election where the Climate change and Environmental issues were represented like never before, and you guys had declared having received more political donations last year than ever before. Darn those Democrats for making political parties like your selves have to declare you funding sources publically. At least they wont be around this time to highlight how you have done next to nothing in Parliament in the next 3 years, just like the last three.

You guys are going to need a lot of luck in 2010!

On ABC last night Bob Brown said that Labor should now reconsider their election promise on the Pulp Mill based on the Greens improved political performance.
Does this mean that breaking election promises is OK as long as they are in favour of Greens?

What happens when polluting industries find themselves surrounded by housing development? People get sick, the companies won't move. This is the situation in Kilburn, South Australia, right now.
