Welcome to Ben McEwan's little corner of YouTube. It's filled with mainly short visual effects tests, but some short films are on their way pretty soon!

Hey, I'm Ben.

As you can probably tell by my channel, I'm pretty obsessed with visual effects. I often have freelance (means I work for myself, not a company) work in visual effects since I'm still at school, but would really like to branch out and work for a company in the visual effects industry. My life ambition is to move to LA or somewhere similar and work for a big visual effects house like ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) or Digital Domain, and hopefully get an Oscar out of it!

I am the co-founder of Aurellia, which is a website dedicated to teaching others about digital arts. We have a series of free tutorials for a variety of different software including the software I use for my visual effects, Adobe After Effects. Our product range is growing rapidly. We will also be selling a bunch of products such as advanced training DVD's, Royalty-Free stock footage, Motion Graphics Kits, etc. very soon. Interests and Hobbies: Visual effects (of course), writing short films even though most of them will probably never be made, making movies (mainly shorts), mucking round with friends and hanging out with my awesome girlfriend Geri!
Movies and Shows: Iron Man, Transformers, Heroes, Family Guy, Balls of Steel, Star Wars Saga, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Matrix Trilogy, Fast and the Furious Movies, etc. I generally like Actions, Sci-Fis and comedies.
Music: Linkin Park, Ronald Jenkees, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Julia Nunes, Breaking Benjamin, Weird Al Yankovic, Weezer and the Iron Man soundtrack... I'm into lots of different genres, but the most part is pretty much Pub Rock and Alternative Rock.
Books: I don't read books, they bore me...
