Kinda have to disagree with your view on the Bible though. You might want to (re-)read the Book of Revelation, for the events discribed there are very much in line with your own analysis of the word financial system and its ultimate purpose... Might be more to it.
Also, if you look beyond the crap that went on in the dark ages en contemporary people using religion for their own power, christianity is very much about unity, not division.
