Over 33 million Americans have a serious and potentially life-threatening food allergy.  Shellfish, wheat, peanuts, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, fish, soy, and sesame are the most common allergens, causing a reaction sending someone to the ER roughly every 3 minutes. 

The picture widens to nearly 85 Million Americans impacted, when you account for all the people who shop for, cook for, and live with those with severe Food Allergies, as well as those with food intolerances & avoidances. 

But, beyond that, food is social, communal, and universal; it brings people together. Whether sourcing, cooking, or eating, food is life, food is love, food is stories, food is us.
