I'm glad I stumbled across this. I didn't think there were so many other Winter fans!
I still think Johnny Winter Live is one of the hottest pieces of music EVER. And it's annoying to hear Derringer's Hootchie Coo and not the real thing.

Johnny played at the Yale Hotel, a small R&B Club in Vancouver this Feb. 26. and he blew the house down! His voice was in top form and he played non stop for over an hour. The band cooked. He ended each number with an extended jazzy flourish that was true Winters style. A great night. Thanks Johnny.

NICE COLLECTION!
I was at the San Diego Sports Arena when part of the Captured Live album was cut, and I could not move or speak for days. Best concert EVER for me....ZZ Top opened, followed by Johnny, Edgar, and then they combined. It was so incredible my roommate and I decided to drop out of school for the week and follow them up the coast to LA and SF. And back then, when the band was hot, they would keep playing until all hours of the morning (no ordinances).
Rock and Roll peaked right then....and the blues was amazing too. I have been a Big fan ever since.

Wonderful seeing all these Johnny vids on here, For me the old Johnny Winter And line up is awesome, I was a good friend of Randy Jo Hobbs (bass player) I've had the oppertunity to meet Johnny a few times through the years and he's always been my hero( guitar playing wise that is), And Randy used to tell me some pretty wild stories of back in the day. Anyhow, I'm always looking for Johnny clips or recordings, especially the old stuff, there are alot of people around this area that remember Randy and Johnny and Derringer, and I'll be telling everone I know to check out these vids. Keep it up Bro!! Awesome!!
