MNN's worst contribution to their VHS & mini-dvd playback operations in 2000 was called TILTRAC, an analog juke box video machine that had capabilities for only 1 channel in a mom-and-pop public access facility.
Because it was a proto-type, TILTRAC had not gone through the "error process" either. TILTRAC is actually rigged & held together with actual quote - "electrical tape" & "paper clips" to carry (not 1 channel as designed) but all 4 MNN channels. Short-circuits are common.
TILTRAC was basically a malfunctioning floor model that had been toured around conventions for prospective buyers throughout mid-west America, Texas, & Boston.
TILTRAC also carried an inflated price that would prove MNN's undoing, and set the tone for the next 8 years. Money was divided under the table between MNN & TILTRAC.

MNN doesn't have the budget to upgrade & compete with their current Master Control operations. Playback operators are forced to operate a malfunctioning machine.

TILTRAC company was selling these "video juke boxes" really only had 1.

They were hoping that industrious buyers would mass produce them on a small scale. But there were no takers.

So TILTRAC cut their loses, inflated their price, and sold off a lemon to the city slickers from NY at MNN.

A deal was alleged to have been made under the table using MNN's budget, for master control upgrade, estimated at the time to be close to a $1,000,000 dollars squandered, lost on TILTRAC.

And The Age of Digital Techology is light years ahead of outdated analog.

TV networks use Digtal Servers. You have to download programs 24 hours ahead of schedule & manage Live TV.

MNN was not up-to-date or proficient with the times & were sold a lemon.

MNN is TECHNICALLY a STALINIST NIGHTMARE in terms of their PLAYBACK OPERATIONS.

MNN is also NON-UNION.

PLAYBACK OPERATORS have NO WORKER RIGHTS & are FORCED to ACT like MACHINES.

MNNs master control up until 2003 was a dismal throw-back to 19th century technology - An air conditioned sweatshop where playback operators were forced to manually play VHS and mini-dv tapes in endless rotation.

There was no automated system except manual input and button pushing. Stop. Play. Rewind. Fast Forward. Cue.

Imagine operating 100 VHS and mini-dv tapes manually every hour - at the top of the hour and the bottom of the hour - 10-12 hours a day.

It was a nightmare akin to the overtired workers seen in the scifi classic METROPOLIS.

Pure Stalinist workplace in the age of digital technology is a TOTAL SHAM!

MNN was sold down the river by Time Warner.

Post-9/11 MNN refused the opportunity to hang an American Flag in their building in honor of the 3,000 dead at World Trade Center, Pentagon and Shanksville.

The absent powers in charge at MNN claimed the American flag was a "symbol of terrorism for my people."

I also have video footage of the events of TV Fakery being attempted on me in Master Control to shut off the MNN channels. Back then MNN had no surveillance cameras so anyone who knew me from MNN knows I always carried a small camcorder around.
