Here's the story...my best friend Amy and her fiancee David went on vacation, and our friend Della was asked to check on the cats every day. Starting on Monday, August 6th, 2007, Della told me there were some odd things going on. She heard strange noises, mainly emanating from the kitchen. She checked, and found a cabinet door or two wide open. She claimed it wasn't the cats. Well, when she returned on Tuesday, there were other signs; moved furniture, more open doors, more odd noises and possibly even faint whisperings coming from nowhere. This kept on escalating until she called me to see if I could be witness to these strange happenings. I brought my camcorder over to see if we could get anything on film (ala Ghost Hunters). Since she was freaked out (who wouldn't be?), I agreed to come over this evening a little before 10pm (August 8th). I set up the camcorder on a tripod in the living room and aimed it at the kitchen, where most of the "activity" seemed to be centered. Della and I were sitting on the couch behind the camcorder. Well, not seven minutes into filming, we saw and heard stuff that we'll never ever forget. The "action" on this video starts taking place around the 6:20 marker in case you want to fast-forward (up until then, it's just the two of us making small talk and looking around nervously). After a cabinet door opened on its own, a spirit/ghost seemed to fly up from the basement stairs and through the kitchen (through the field of vision of the camcorder). The loud noise you hear towards the end of the footage came from somewhere in the dining room (where the ghost or whatever it was flew into). We could find nothing that made that crash. I tried to quickly detach the camcorder from the tripod to film the dining room afterwards, but for some reason it never recorded. Though we could find nothing broken in the dining room, we DID find an old teddy bear sitting on the dining room table. We are certain it wasn't there before the crash took place. Seeing the teddy bear on the table was almost more spooky than finding a broken vase or something. Needless to say, we got the hell out of Dodge in a HURRY. Warning to younger viewers- there is some, well, strong language that we use at the end of the tape, but I think that anyone would've used a few expletives after witnessing what we saw and experienced.
