My name is Paula from Long Island New York, my friends call me Paulina. I'm transgender something I have known about for more years then I can remember. This Past February 2007 I started to live open as a woman, it hasn't been an easy road, but I need to be open with myself and the ones I love so I can get my life in order. Not that it hasn't been good, I have everything I want except one thing!
It hasn't been an easy road, being married for twenty four years with a son. My wife knew that I was different, but didn't know the extent of how deep my feelings ran being a woman trapped inside a mans body. She says she wants to help me through this, but my guess in the end she will abandon me.

I grew up in a time before the internet, cell phones, text message. Back then the only outlet was reading some cheesy add for a pen pal in a magazine. There was no way to communicate with others like myself, and after many years of endless searching, having the internet as an outlet has helped me grow and be comfortable with myself.

My education consists of an associates degree from Cornell university in labor relations. I retired from a major hospital in New York city as their Network Manager right after 911. I currently own a small business working on Long Island.

It's not an easy task being who I am working in a Mans field, but I guess I'm a Tom Boy at heart. I do get some strange looks from the many people on the coffee line in the morning, but WTF, it don't trouble me. I just look back and smile!

Speaking of a smile, I will hopefully be getting up on line with the web cam real soon. I look forward to meeting and hopefully making new friends from around the world.

Each and every one of you who are like myself, having been through what I am going through, or maybe completed your SRS, or are just thinking about opening up, I admire you, I respect you so much, and I hold you deep to my heart. You understand what it's like, we are not alone!
