Resisting Gravity is going through some BIG CHANGES at the moment! Micci (formerly on bass & vocals) and Jordan (formerly on keyboard) are no longer with the band (blame it on distance and soaring gas prices). Our show at the Halifax Fete de la Musique on June 21st 2008 was the last time we played together. It's not the same without them but we'll be okay... Resisting Gravity will go on!

And so, we introduce to you our new bass player, Thomas Bagley. Thomas has only been playing a few months, but he managed to learn 12 songs in 5 days for the Kingsport Galla Days performance... we're thinking he's a natural! This summer our friend Paul Ranson is helping us out on guitar until we find a new guitar or keyboard player (He's played in many bands over the years, and he used to play with us, Jesse and Liam, quite a bit before we had the Resisting Gravity band) - he's in a lot of the "rocknboyz" videos (our old YouTube channel).

As for the kind of music we play - it doesn't fit neatly into any one particular genre... terms like "alternative acoustic rock" are pretty good descriptors, but that doesn't mean you won't find us playing classic rock or pop punk too! We play mostly original songs written by Jesse Potter (our singer/guitarist) and covers by artists like Justin King, Andy McKee, Matchbox 20, CCR, Barenaked Ladies... etc.
