Mother of two, married eleven years. Been playing guitar for three years, hoping some day to meet up with a few others interested in having fun making music.

I chose the name Rising1 to reflect the attitude of rising up from the mentality of "I can't" to "I can!". Rise up to "I can!" and be the best person you can for yourself, and ultimately others! :-) !!!!!

.... Yeah, I'll thank my kids, too, who often have to listen to me play songs over and over and over... I love you both for doing the best you can to let me have some fun sometimes, too!

There's an acoustic version of the song by Townsend himself on the BBC, which is mind-blowingly great, but your interpretation is also very moving. His is poignant, painful,and ultimately powerful; yours is tender, poignant, and comes across as totally authentic. One is not better than the other-- both great! Now if you can just write them like Pete, you're on your way to the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. :-) Thanks for posting your work !!!
